This is the quilt I'm refurbishing as you can see I've just scribbled in the border to give additional strength to the quilt and the binding is the fabric I cut the butterflies from ( these were appliqued over the holes in the top ) The centres of the chains will have a free motion flower motive to complete the quilt.
This is the binding on the friendship star baby quilt --- it was pieced by a friend (the centre) and finished by me I think it's for a craft fair at her church. I machine finished the binding with a fancy stitch which gives a strong edge for children's quilt, and has become my favourite go to method for children and baby quilts.
Hoping for another finish -- for Linus in the next couple of days so watch this space!!
