Well progress of sorts, below are the quilt tops I've managed to piece during this heatwave but it is still too hot to quilt even on the machine.
The 2 on the left are for project Linus , the next is a lap top for I don't know who!! and the 2 at the end are tops I'm quilting for a friend, hope to get to them soon or else I will be far to grumpy having to quilt them all at one go !!
Half of my scrappy trip around the world quilt in the process of being joined together the other half is at the sewing machine being finished the quilt is 8 x 10 blocks and is for ME for my super king sized bed.
When I will get to the quilting stage with this I don't know but I am determinded to make it happen.

Raffle quilt
At last the top for Phoenix patchers annual raffle quilt is assembled and now to make the backing which will have two spare blocks in it as the members were very generous this year and we had two too many, then onto layering up but not till the heatwave breaks as it is too hot in my sewing room to machine quilt an 80" x 80" quilt!!
The patchwork greyhounds are feeling the heat so small meals and early morning walks and ice cubes in the drinking bowls and lots of sleeping not that the sleeping is anything new --- does anyone have a greyhound that doesn't sleep at every opportunity?
Will try to sew again for about an hour again tomorrow that seems to be enough each day at the moment!!

Slow progress
In fact very slow progress----we are in the middle of a heatwave in England with temps in the upper 20's degree C which for here is hot and my sewing room is in the attic so I'm on a go slow!! (no AC).
I am in the middle of refurbishing a quilt for the daughter of a friend --- she bought it cheap at a car boot sale because she liked the colours!! BUT did not check the condition --- loose wadding--- a cigarette burn and a few loose patches.Sooo have taken it apart from the backing and made a new one, mended any loose threads appliqued a butterfly over the hole and some more to keep it company!! now to layer it up an some machine quilting and that will be another finish.
I'm also trying to get the blocks done for our group Linus challenge in the Autumn so will have pics next time I post (fingers crossed)

A finish at last
About 2 years after making the top ( but not the borders ) the stepping stones quilt is finished!! and measures 108" x 98" approximately.
The backing is a large scale strippy so used up a good stack of material and the trimmings have already been fed into my scrap system a la Bonnie Hunter.
And just a pic of the bossy patchwork greyhound snoozing as only a greyhound can!!!
