The baby blue quilt is finally complete and washed and packed away with its lavender bag waiting for my daughter to transport it to London. Just hope it's a baby boy !!! I am in the process of making a girlie top so maybe in a week or two I'll be flat out finishing that and that is it for baby quilts for a while!!
I love the backing for this I bought it (the remains of a bolt) when a local quilt shop closed and it has done 3 backings just less than half a metre left now so the last of it will have a place in a pieced backing and then what will I use for baby quilts?

Visit to Empress Mill
Great visit to Empress mill yesterday. We took Libby (GD no.1) who is hoping to eventually take a degree in textiles so good for her to see some of the exhibits and demos. I forgot to take my camera so no photos but the exhibits were wonderful and gave me a few ideas and of course couldn't resist buying a few metres of fabric and of course some of Empress Mill's beautiful thread
We finished our visit to Colne will a fish and chip lunch so a good day was had by all!!

It's finished
The teddy bear quilt is finally finished, washed ,parcelled up and ready to go to the post office to post to my daughter in London and guess what the post office are on strike today and it has to wait till Wednesday, so even though the quilt was finished last week it won't arrive till Thursdayof this week!
I've managed to fit in another ten blocks of the scrappy trip around the world so now only have ten more to go, however, another baby quilt has to be made ASAP as the little one is due early June and it would be just my luck for it to be early! and I did take the Bank Holiday weekend off --- we took the hounds (2x greyhounds and 2x lurchers ) to a fun dog show to meet lots of other houndies and raise much needed funds for the rescue charity Greyhound Gap. We had a great day out and the weather was superb and our little lurcher Jess came 3rd in the recall competition---the others sauntered down the course smelling the flowers!!!
